About the Job
Position Summary:
Our intake clinician provides thorough bio-psycho-social assessments for children and adolescents. The assessments include evaluation of mental health status, providing a social summary, diagnosis, and treatment recommendations. Case management includes an assessment of need with the child/adolescent and family, and active collaboration with community providers and services. Additionally, our intake clinician provides intakes, evidence-based practice, consultation and collaboration with students and school staff in our catchment area. The intake clinician would provide individual and family therapy to a small caseload. The intake clinician could also provide training to staff and/or parents at the school as well as opportunities for growth in the development of providing mental health support in the schools. Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide intake assessments for children and adolescents
· Provide clinical services for a small caseload
· Consult with medication providers and clinical staff
· Develop and maintain treatment plans for children and adolescents
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Basic understanding about mental health disorders and psychotropic medications
· Ability to build and maintain rapport with children, adolescents, and their families
· Culturally sensitive
· Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
Requirements
Qualifications:
· NH licensure or license eligible
Education:
· Position requires a master’s degree in psychology, social work, rehab counseling or education/counseling from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
· Prior work with children and families is a plus
· Motivational Interviewing skills also a plus
Licensure/Certification:
· LICSW or LCMH licensing preferred.
