Employee Assistance Program

Supporting your team just got easier
A free Employee Assistance Program for small New Hampshire nonprofits

As a nonprofit leader, you carry a lot — strategy, fundraising, community needs, and most importantly, your people. When staff are stretched thin, struggling personally, or facing burnout, it can feel like you're carrying it all alone. But you don’t have to.

We’re excited to share a new support resource for you and your team: the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provided by KGA. This free, confidential benefit is available 24/7 and is designed not only for your staff and their adult household members — but also for you as a manager.

Eligibility Requirements

To participate in this pilot, nonprofit organizations must meet all of the following:

  • Located in or serving New Hampshire
  • Have 10 or fewer staff members
  • Do not have access to an EAP through current insurance

What Is the EAP?

The KGA EAP connects your team to licensed counselors, coaches, and specialists who can help with everything from emotional and mental health support to everyday challenges like:

  • Parenting or caregiving stress
  • Financial or legal issues
  • Nutrition and sleep
  • Career and workplace concerns
  • Substance misuse
  • Grief and loss
  • And more

Whether someone is navigating a family crisis, feeling overwhelmed, or just needs help managing stress, support is only a phone call, text, or click away.

Support for You as a Leader

As a leader, you're often the first to notice when someone’s struggling. KGA offers confidential consultations to support you behind the scenes — so you're never handling tough situations alone. As a supervisor, you have access to confidential consultations to help you:

  • Refer employees dealing with personal challenges
  • Navigate difficult conversations or performance concerns
  • Manage team conflict and workplace tensions
  • Plan responses to critical incidents like a staff death or community trauma
  • Address complex issues like substance misuse, return-to-work plans, or suicidal ideation

Whether you’re unsure how to approach a concern, want help crafting a referral, or just need a sounding board — KGA is here for you.

Tools for Growth & Resilience

Beyond one-on-one support, the EAP includes a robust online resource hub with tools designed specifically for managers:

  • Articles, templates, and assessments to grow your leadership skills
  • An online training center with 15 self-paced courses for supervisors
