About the Job

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Research federal, state, and local foundation and corporate grant prospects.
  • Collaboratively plan, implement and direct a comprehensive program aimed at identifying, cultivating and soliciting major gifts from corporations, community, and private foundations.
  • Write grant proposals and prepare all supporting documentation required.
  • Collaborate with the Development and Marketing & Communications departments on overall strategies and communications for agency fundraising and communications.
  • In collaboration with the Development and Marketing & Communications departments, build strong relationships with foundation program officers and corporate representatives.
  • Provide information to and collaborate with appropriate program staff to complete grant applications and reports, including communication with grant managers and contacts as appropriate.
  • Manage and update grant information databases and prepare required reports for internal use as well as for funders.
  • Represent the Agency at bidder’s conferences and other grant-related meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications department to generate client stories to demonstrate the impact of Agency services.
  • Participate in Agency focus groups, teams and committees, as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of two (2) years grant writing experience and verifiable success in writing and securing grants and major gifts from foundations and corporations
  • Experience with grant writing or other written content creation preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office application suite
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, full-time.
