The Upper Room, A Family Resource Center

The Upper Room, A Family Resource Center located in Derry, NH is a 501C(3) non-profit organization, committed to creating educational programs and services to strengthen individuals, families and the community.   Founded in 1986, our organization has provided support, services, education and resources to all who inquire.  Our center is a warm and welcoming place, striving to foster a sense of belonging, connection and purpose, while providing information and guidance to strengthen children and families, and build a stronger community.

School year program offering high school education and preparation so students can take their HiSET exam.  Team approach supports students in the HiSET classroom.

This 20 hour position could be combined with like position to offer a 30 hour position for interested candidates.  

  • Prior Teaching Experience Preferred
  • Work with adolescents previously a must
  • Desire to be part of a team that helps teens attain high school completion and post graduate plans.
  • Able to be flexible
  • Group facilitation helpful
  • Provide Classroom Support to teens in the HISET -High School Equivalency Program
  • Offer individual one to one tutoring for students needing assistance.
  • Work with team of teachers to offer a high school equivalency program including career and life readiness.
