Executive Director
Land For Good is an innovative New England-wide nonprofit that works on critical issues facing our farmers, rural communities, and regional food system: accessing and passing on farms and farmland. Our mission is to keep New England's agricultural lands working by transforming how farmers access, hold and transfer farms and farmland. For nearly two decades, Land For Good has been working to put more farmers more securely on land in New England, to support farm viability, increase farming opportunity, and keep land in farming. Land For Good is a nationally recognized leader in the field of farmland access, tenure, and transfer.
Do you have a passion for farming and food systems? Are you an experienced leader?
Land For Good is poised to move into a new phase of strategic impact and leadership, while continuing to fulfill its vital role for farmers, farmland owners, and allied farm service providers. This is a time of opportunity and resiliency for the organization.
Land For Good seeks a candidate who is an effective leader at both the organizational and strategic levels, with substantial experience in fundraising, management and oversight, organizational administration, networking, growing and stewarding relationships, and effectively supporting organization-wide goals.
The right candidate will also share a commitment to centering social justice, equity, and inclusion in the organization’s work. Land For Good strives for a society grounded in the principles of social and economic justice. The organization seeks to achieve excellence through a diverse and inclusive workplace that honors the unique talents and lived experiences of each individual. Land For Good actively seeks people who bring diverse backgrounds, life experiences, and perspectives.
This position is fully remote and requires a home office with a reliable internet connection. Candidates must be located in New England and have access to a car for occasional regional travel, staff meetings and gatherings, and some evening and weekend work will be required. National travel is required occasionally.
