Rental Assistance Manager
New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority is a self-supporting public corporation that promotes, finances and supports affordable housing. We operate rental and homeownership programs designed to assist low- and moderate-income persons with obtaining affordable housing. We have helped more than 50,000 families purchase their own homes and been instrumental in financing the creation of more than 15,000 multi-family housing units.
Established by statute in 1981, New Hampshire Housing receives no operating funds from the state government.

Want to use your human services and program administration skills to fulfill the mission of creating a New Hampshire with decent, affordable housing for all? Join our Assisted Housing Team dedicated to providing direct assistance to very low-income households through the Housing Choice Voucher Program.
What will you do?
As the Rental Assistance Manager, you’re responsible for the administration of the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher and Moderate Rehabilitation Rental Assistance Programs. You’ll be primarily responsible for determining eligibility, including rent calculations, educating owners and participants on program guidelines, and interpreting legal documents necessary for the administration of these programs. You’ll also assist prospective participants in locating suitable units and contact current owners and apartment complexes regarding vacancies.
What’s required?
The successful candidate will have the ability to understand and interpret federal and state rental property laws, the ability to relay complex information in common terms, and to think analytically and make decisions, as well as strong organization and communication skills. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or at least five years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Ability to read and speak Spanish is desired, but not required.

What we offer:
Starting pay: $50,048 - $61,000 depending on experience
