Hybrid Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant (Hybrid)

Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based behavioral health services in New Hampshire, is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant in our Administrative office.

The Staff Accountant is responsible for the month end close process and maintenance of all financial records of Riverbend. The Staff Accountant ensures that Riverbend is utilizing the most modern, technological and best practices available to perform their work. This position includes hybrid options for Office/Home Office.

Requirements:
  • Minimum Associates Degree in Accounting, preferably Bachelors.
  • Five or more years in non-profit accounting.
  • Five or more years month end close process.

Responsibilities:
  • Close Month End in a Timely and Efficient Manner.
    • Month end close process:
    • Prepare and enter recurring and other journal entries as required for month end and reconciliation purposes
    • Assist the Director of Finance with budget variance analysis and the preparation of financial statements.
    • Maintenance of all financial records, audit schedules, general ledger accounts, distribution tables and chart of accounts
    • Maintenance of data and software system for all fixed assets accounts.
    • Responsible for all grant billings on a monthly basis, adhering to all reporting requirements.
    • Reconcile all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis and processing adjustments as needed
    • Generate reports from payroll system for general ledger entry and reconciliation
    • Work with Accounts Receivable department to reconcile imported revenue entry monthly
    • Provide support to Director of Finance and/or CFO when needed, including but not limited to year-end, annual audits, and budget preparation
