Visions for Creative Housing Solutions

The mission of Visions for Creative Housing Solutions is to provide residential options, services and support designed to meet the needs of adults with developmental disabilities and similar disabling conditions. We are dedicated to fostering growth and independence through vocational, social, and recreational opportunities.

Visions is the only provider of permanent supported housing with wrap-around services in the Upper Valley.

Visions' founding location and administrative office is in Enfield, New Hampshire, with a second location in Lebanon.

The Bookkeeper is responsible for providing office support, as well as performing clerical and daily bookkeeping tasks to ensure Visions for Creative Housing Solutions adheres to best practices and requirements for non-profit business operations and reporting. Confidentiality, efficient time management, excellent organizational skills, and attention to accuracy are essential qualifications for this position, as is the ability to communicate clearly. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent bookkeeping experience
  • Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field
  • Knowledge of nonprofit bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • QuickBooks and Microsoft Office proficiency, especially in Excel
  • Basic understanding of non-profit business operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand financial data, processes, and procedures
  • A high degree of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail


  • Performs essential tasks relating to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as delegated by the Executive Director and in accordance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Manages record keeping, bill paying, invoicing, and payment tracking.
  • Maintains the organization’s general ledger in QuickBooks.
  • Maintains, reconciles, and reports on the petty cash fund.
  • Provides information to the external accountant in a timely manner for the production of financial statements.
  • Maintains an accurate and organized file system.
  • Processes payroll in tandem with the organization’s external payroll company.
  • Prepares report data for the Executive Director to ensure timely compliance with local, agency, state, and federal government reporting requirements.
  • Provides clerical and administrative support to the Executive Director as requested.
  • Oversees and maintains inventory as authorized by the Executive Director.
  • Responds to questions and requests for information from grantors, reporting agencies, etc., as directed by the Executive Director.
