Marketing & Development Manager

HAVEN Violence Prevention and Support Services

HAVEN, formerly known as A Safe Place and SASS officially merged in July of 2015 becoming the largest violence prevention and support services agency in NH. We are dedicated to addressing public health through violence prevention and improving the well-being of children and families. Preventing abuse and providing support for those impacted by domestic and sexual violence can lead to healthier and more secure children and adults. Our mission is to prevent sexual assault, domestic violence and stalking and to support and empower women, men, youth and families to heal from abuse and rebuild their lives. Through a 24-hour client service support program and a Safe Kids Strong Teens K-12 Prevention education program, this organization provides services to individuals and families throughout Rockingham and Strafford Counties.


HAVEN Development and Marketing Manager

Position Description

This position manages all aspects of fundraising including campaigns, events, communications, prospect research, and donor stewardship and is responsible for creating consistent, compelling messages about HAVEN’s mission, services and impact with the goal of engaging donor and community support.

Development Responsibilities

Effectively interacts with donors, community leaders, and Board Members to achieve increased public understanding and support of organization and its mission. Actively promotes the organization and is a positive brand representative in all external interactions. 

  • Manage donor stewardship: solicit, cultivate, and steward all current and potential donors.
  • Utilize and maintain the donor database.
  • Execute strategies to increase corporate and foundation giving.
  • Coordinate logistics and provide support and leadership for all agency events.
  • Serve as primary staff lead on Events Committee and participate in Development Committee.
  • Grant tracking and procurement.
  • Coordinate in-kind donations.

Marketing Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee production of all print and various media communications.
  • Collaborate with Outreach manager to coordinate HAVEN’s social media presence.
  • Provide organizational communications: manage e-communications platform.


Qualifications and Requirements 

Skills: Proven experience in marketing and communications.  Demonstrated written and oral communication skills. Strong computer proficiency; experience with donor management software preferred. Fluency in design applications preferred.

Knowledge: Expertise in carrying out best practices of various social media platforms in order to maintain and grow audience. Experience executing donor stewarding strategies.

Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance required.  Completion of Criminal and Driver’s Record Check required for hire.

Exempt Salary- Based on 40 hours per week –Benefits Eligible
