Residential Counselors

Riverbend Community Mental Health

Founded in 1963, Riverbend Community Mental Health is a private, nonprofit organization providing specialized behavioral health services in central New Hampshire. Core services include 24/7 emergency mobile crisis services; counseling services for children, adults, and families; addiction treatment; and community support, vocational services, and residential programs for adults and seniors. Residential Counselors – Mill House ($1,500 sign-on bonus)

Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based behavioral health services in New Hampshire, is seeking two full-time people to work in our residential program, Mill House.  The schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts with a mix of 7A-5P and 1P-11P. One weekend shift is required. 

 *These positions are eligible for a $1,500 sign on bonus!

As a Residential Counselor, you’ll be responsible for providing services and support to individuals living with mental illness, assisting them in their recovery, and helping them attain the goals they have set for themselves. If you are flexible — and possess excellent administrative and clinical skills — this could be a great opportunity!

At Riverbend, we have implemented processes and precautions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 as well as a mandatory vaccination policy. Exceptions can be applied for under medical or religious reasons. Additionally, weekly testing will be required for anyone who is progress of the vaccine series or individuals with approved exemptions.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, rehabilitation, education, or human services is required.
  • One year of related work experience preferred
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, and some holidays
  • A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle with auto insurance is required
  • CPR certification, or willingness to become certified is required
  • He-M 1202 (medication management) certification, or willingness to become certified is required.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in routine residential operations, including community integration and apartment hygiene.
  • Assist in managing activities and medication services.
  • Support residents in working towards their residential goals.
  • Ensure the safety of residents and other staff.
