Site Coordinator

Meals on Wheels of Hillsborough County

Meals on Wheels of Hillsborough County has been meeting the social and nutritional needs of older, homebound and disabled adults in Hillsborough County for over 40 years. We are dedicated to providing nutritious meals, health education, opportunities for social interaction and other related services to help improve the lives of those we serve.


Reporting to the Director of Client Services, the Nashua Site Coordinator manages the Nashua nutrition site location and is responsible for successful implementation of the home delivery program and community dining program at designated site(s). The Site Coordinator supervises a team of staff and volunteers, provides oversight, training and support. This position is also responsible for managing and completing weekly and monthly reports.

Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Must acquire and maintain ServSafe certification
  • Must obtain and maintain a Notary Public certification
  • Intermediate/advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with a high degree of skill and discretion
  • Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and organization skills
  • Ability to manage time and multitask effectively
  • Ability to work independently and within a strong team environment
  • Strong work ethic and judgment, flexibility, and a good sense of humor
  • More than any particular experience, must have a strong desire to contribute to the mission of Meals on Wheels
  • Must have and maintain a vehicle that has current registration and safety inspection
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs and climb stairs
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, and proof of automobile insurance with a minimum dollar requirement for bodily injury liability coverage
Responsibilities:
  • Manage designated site locations(s) by ensuring food production and meal delivery operations are in compliance with MOWHC policies and procedures
  • Supervise a team of staff/volunteers and provide ongoing training and support
  • Attend all in-service trainings and other professional development opportunities as required by Client Services Department
  • Attend monthly Site Coordinator meetings. Ask questions and engage in discussion by providing feedback, ideas and offering possible solutions
  • Assist with Volunteer Program including: scheduling initial site visit and ride-along, volunteer paperwork and training
  • Follow up on client concerns, including changes in condition, incident reports, and make BEAS reports
  • Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of ServTracker and necessary functions
  • Conduct team meetings and provide timely communication to all team members
  • Responsible for managing information dispersed to clients including, but not limited to: menus, surveys, flyers, and nutrition education
  • Responsible for completing weekly and monthly reports/paperwork
  • Responsible for completing weekly meal order, supply orders, meal evaluations, and other designated tasks
  • Oversee and assist with wellness calls/process when a client is not home at the time of delivery or if site experiences an unexpected closure
