Transitional Living Program (TLP) Housing Support Staff (part-time evening positions) in Dover, NH 

Do you want to make a positive impact in the life of a young adult?  Would you be a good mentor and role model for young adults?  If so, Waypoint is looking for you.  We are a private Nonprofit Social Service Agency seeking Housing Support Staff to provide late-night supervision and oversight to youth (18-23) who are living in Waypoints Transitional Living house in Dover, NH. Desired candidates would have a passion for young adults who have experienced homelessness, substance abuse struggles, or mental health struggles and be willing to assist in their building of independent living skills. If you would like to be part of a team supporting young adults in these areas this may be the perfect fit for you. 

The Housing Support Staff will utilize Positive Youth Development, Harm Reduction, and Trauma-Informed Care to provide supervision to six to nine young adult residents of the TLP house. The primary role of the Housing Support Staff is providing interventions that support healthy coping, problem-solving skills, and conflict resolution; teaching social skills, and modeling independent living skills with a special emphasis on safety and positive relationships. The Housing Support Staff will work in collaboration with a live-in House Mentor, TLP Care Coordinators, who are assigned to each residence, and TLP Program Managers.

Associate degree with one year related direct care experience desired.  Lived expertise looked upon favorably. The desired candidate would also have the ability to complete paperwork timely and effectively, have strong verbal and face-to-face communication skills, and be dependable and reliable. Candidates must be 18 years old. The chosen candidates will be required to successfully complete a criminal background check. This is a part-time position with competitive pay. The primary hours are between 8:00 pm and 12:00 am or 9:00 pm and 1:00 am. Candidates could work a schedule of 3 to 6 shifts/days per week based on availability. Occasionally hours may vary.
