Catholic Charities New Hampshire is looking for a part-time Community Services Coordinator (21 hrs/wk, with additional hours possible and a schedule of Monday, Wednesday and Friday) to join our team of dedicated professionals in our Laconia Service Location. The Community Services Coordinator is tasked with responding to requests for assistance from New Hampshire individuals & families in crisis. Our organization strives to provide person-centered services to strengthen New Hampshire families and build independence. Our clients come from all faiths and every walk of life. We respond to those in need by offering programs that heal, comfort and empower.

Requirements:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish speaking fluency or proficiency a plus
  • Can demonstrate compassion and empathy in working with Clients of all socio-economic backgrounds Basic bookkeeping skills
  • Intermediate level skills in MS Office software programs: Word, Excel, outlook email
  • Computer aptitude and ability to work with database software programs to record client interactions with ease
  • General understanding of social services practices & resources
  • Thorough understanding of, and ability to follow, standard operating procedures
  • Organized; able to accurately manage complicated records and processes
  • Calm, under pressure; patient and understanding with colleagues and Clients
  • Integrity, moral character, ability to keep confidentiality as appropriate
  • Always presents self as positive ambassador/representative of CCNH
  • Team player: willing and able to effectively coordinate actions with other CCNH Staff
  • Must be an excellent judge of character and have a commitment to Clients’ welfare

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • Associates Degree, with experience in a healthcare or social services office environment
Responsibilities:
  • Act as the first or second point of contact for all individuals who call or walk into our offices seeking assistance
  • Provide clients with basic information and referral service, help them complete the Intake process, and forward information to appropriate colleagues via entries in Apricot and other software systems
  • Help Clients clarify their needs and understand their options and refer to our own or other community services
  • Handle with special care and requests for assistance from elderly or seriously disabled Clients
  • In assessing client need, discern those who would benefit from our intensive case management and network them to all appropriate resources to help them move their lives forward
