The Haven seeks a qualified communications specialist to join our team. You will lead our on-line communication and marketing efforts focused on digital media.  If you know how to creatively handle various online marketing and communication tools, this position is for you. You will work with our Development & Communication team to coordinate our marketing, communication, and two annual fundraising events.

You will promote our organization, increasing constituent engagement, helping our community to grow stronger as we provide basic needs for food, shelter, housing, and other resources for those facing significant daily challenges.

The Upper Valley Haven is a well-established, community-supported non-profit that serves people struggling with poverty by providing food, shelter, supportive housing, education, service coordination, and other services that help change lives. With donor contributions of more than $3 million annually, the Haven is a growing, dynamic organization that inspires its employees, volunteers and the entire Upper Valley of Vermont and New Hampshire to accomplish great things for people in need of our support.

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent professional and work experience.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in digital marketing preferred.
  • Knowledge of WordPress.
  • Knowledge of design/editing programs such as InDesign, Photoshop, and Final Cut Pro a plus.
  • Experience with analytic tools such as Google Ads and Google Campaign Manager.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication.
  • Ability to adapt to new technology quickly.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized.
  • Can work independently and as part of a team.
  • Sense of humor.
  • Maintain the Haven’s brand awareness using digital media channels including YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook, ensuring a consistent and strong online presence.
  • Scheduling placement of content on digital media platforms.
  • Create and distribute the monthly Haven e-newsletter.
  • Stay up-to-date with digital media developments.
  • Provide analysis of digital media effectiveness and ROI.
  • With the assistance of Development team members, coordinate the Haven’s signature, Chefs of the Valley annual event.

Salary Range:

$44,000 - $50,000
