Program Manager, Military & Veterans Services

With an operating budget of over $90M, it is one of the largest independent state-wide Easterseals in the country.  As a leader in social services for individuals with disabilities and special needs, Easterseals NH employs more than 1,850 individuals who serve more than 25,000 children, adults and seniors every year.  As a multi-state organization, ESNH has 13 core programs and includes subsidiaries Easterseals Vermont, Easterseals Maine, and the Farnum Center.  In 2018, ESNH served more than 28,000 children, adults, seniors and veterans in communities throughout New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine.

The successful candidate will manage grants, programs and/or subcontracts within ESNH Military & Veterans Services, overseeing casework, overall program performance and operating budgets. This position is also responsible for the following:

Essential Responsibilities:

Ensure sufficient flow of referrals by developing/implementing program outreach strategies and building/leveraging relationships with community partners.

  • Assess and assign referrals as appropriate.
  • Provide in-depth on-demand supervision/consultation in addition to formal performance management of staff. 
  • Monitor the collection of complex data, perform data analysis, and create timely and accurate outcome based reports for internal and external funders/stakeholders.
  • Work with Director and financial business partners to create, implement, and monitor/adjust program budgets.
  • Participate in efforts to secure additional funding streams that increase program sustainability and expand services provided.
  • Support Director in reviewing and approving financial assistance requests.
  • Actively participate on multiple committees and groups, including presentations to various stakeholders on veteran/military issues.
  • Carry a reduced caseload.
  • Assist Director in developing and facilitating team meetings and trainings.
  • Master’s degree in social work, mental health or related field with two + years proven program and people management experience, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with five + years proven program and people management experience.
  • Current license (or license-eligible) in social work, mental health, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with EMRs and data collection systems, HMIS experience preferred.
  • Understanding of military culture and military-veteran clinical issues preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance that meets our coverage requirements.
