Mill Falls Charter School is New Hampshire’s first Public Montessori School. Launched in the fall of 2012, the school is open – tuition free – to New Hampshire students in grades K-6. Located in Manchester, Mill Falls brings together children of all backgrounds and learning styles in mixed-age classrooms that merge the Common Core Curriculum with the individualized and academically integrated Montessori approach. 

Manchester is New Hampshire’s largest and most diverse city. Located about fifty miles north of Boston, Manchester is home to approximately one hundred ten thousand people and has a rich immigrant history. Mill Falls is seeking a Part-Time Upper Elementary Interventionist to work with individual and small groups of children in our Upper Elementary Program (grades 4-6), as directed by the Educational Program Director and in collaboration with Lead Montessori Teachers. 

  • NH State Educator Certification Required;
  • A demonstrated willingness to collaboratively work in collaboration with MFCS’s trained Montessori teachers;
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues, administrators, and parents;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Appreciation for students with learning differences as well as for students from diverse family and socio-economic situations;
  • Experience working specifically in the math and/or literacy field;
  • An open-mind and sense of humor.

In fulfilling the job duties, the Upper Elementary Interventionist shall:

  • Plan and implement math and literacy intervention programming.
  • Assist with the care and maintenance of math and literacy intervention materials, i.e. maintaining an orderly environment and keeping it clean and in good condition.
  • Provide assessment data to Lead Teachers and Educational Program Director as requested.
  • Help train and supervise children regarding emergency situations and practices such as fire drills, as directed.
