QI Coordinator

Lakes Region Mental Health Center

Lakes Region Mental Health Center (LRMHC) is the community mental health center serving Belknap and southern Grafton Counties. We provide services to 24 surrounding towns, and nearly 4,000 patients each year. A non-profit, private corporation founded in 1966, Lakes Region Mental Health Center is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors dedicated to our mission.  We provide integrated mental and physical health care to children, adults, elders and their families who are living with – and recovering from- mental illness and/or emotional distress. Our dedicated professionals provide the highest quality of healthcare and collaborate with many other organizations in the region to improve access to care and meet the mental health needs of the community. By working in partnership with other health care providers, hospitals, law enforcement, corrections, courts, school districts, social workers and public health officials, we are able to provide a continuum of care for our patients and improve the quality of life in the Lakes Region.


Requirements:

•The individual must possess the knowledge, skills and ability noted below or be able to explain and demonstrate how they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some combination of skills and abilities. Must also possess the necessary physical capacities, with or without the aid of mechanical devices or other forms of accommodation, to safely perform the primary functions of the job
•Working knowledge of clinical and administrative processes and systems as they relate to QI.
•Ability to use computers and word processing equipment.
•Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken word and to receive detailed information through oral communication.  Primary functions include activities in which verbal communication with clients and with others is key to job effectiveness.
•Visual acuity must meet a minimum standard to work with preparing, reading, and analyzing data and reports, work with a computer terminal, etc.
•Is able to tolerate periods of heavy workload or excessive stress.
•Is able to sustain light physical effort such as frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching and/or occasional lifting of items 10 lbs. or more.

Qualifications:
•Education: Bachelor’s degree in mental health related field or Nursing Degree or equivalent Experience in the QI Field
•Experience: Three to five years’ experience in administrative or supervisory capacity in mental health field related to quality improvement programming and clinical interventions preferred.
•License/Certification: Must have valid NH driver’s license.

Responsibilities:

•Maintain QI databases and compile statistical QA/QI information as needed for internal and external reviews and studies
•Provide consultation, development and training regarding corporate compliance, documentation standards, orientation and program needs as assigned. Assist the DTQC/QI Team in conducting all aspects of Quality Improvement/Corporate Compliance activities; including utilization management/utilization review and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) processes
•Provide program guidance and support related to Fidelity for all Evidence-Based Practices and subsequent Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs). Works with programs to standardize agency procedures for consistency and quality.
•Monitor and meet regularly with program directors/facilitators to discuss progress related to fidelity for Evidence-Based Practices
•Assist DTQC with oversight of the Quality Improvement Plan for the agency, as well as, the Strategic Plan and provide administrative support for the Quality Improvement Department
•Responsible for data collection, computer data entry, creating reports, forms and graphs to aid internal and external reviews, studies and audits
•Develop plan for ongoing audits of clinical records, staff and programs to capture billing
•Collect, compile and run reports and minutes for weekly Utilization Review and monthly Quality Improvement Committee of the Board meetings
•Attend regular MCO meetings; CRB Meetings; assist in the administrative function of peer review as needed
•Develop and implement client satisfaction surveys and reports on aggregate results
•Attend QI related meetings on behalf of DTQC when unable to attend
•Other tasks as assigned by the DTQC.
•Attendance is an essential function of this position.
