Operations Manager

New England Healing Sports Association

New England Healing Sports Association (NEHSA), located at Mount Sunapee Resort in Newbury, is one of the nation's most highly respected, volunteer driven non-profits focused on year round adaptive recreational sports and activities. Founded in 1972, NEHSA believes that people of all physical and cognitive abilities can participate in sport. Our programs teach individuals with varying degrees of ability to strive toward independence through sports, whether on water, land or snow. From our Vietnam era veteran founders, we have grown from humble beginnings to currently providing more than 8,000 instructional hours annually.


New England Healing Sports Association (NEHSA) is seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the full-time, year-round position of Operations Manager.  The candidate will work directly with the NEHSA Executive Director and staff, and will be responsible for maintaining best practices in the environment of a small nonprofite organization, and improving and managing day-to-day administrative operations.  Some travel may be required of this position.  Weekends and some evening shifts will also be required.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience in business administration, office management, sports management, or another related field.
  • Advanced in Microsoft computer applications.
  • Experience in database management preferred.
  • Proficiency in WordPress preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team setting.
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, and outgoing.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever changing environment, and able to balance priorities.
  • Experience working with inidviduals with disabilties preferred.
  • Ability to assit with adaptive sport programming if needed.
Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages the NEHSA office and related administrative duties.
  • Works directly with customers, completing transactions, and processing membership applications.
  • Trains NEHSA office volunteer personnel on standard operating procedures.
  • Maintains and orders essential supplies.
  • Serves as the point of contact for vendors relating to administrative tasks (ie. lift ticket orders with Mount Sunapee Resort, copying and printing services, phone and internet provider, etc).
  • Maintains and updates NEHSA's website.
  • Keeps NEHSA's membership database current.
  • Ensures up to date software on all NEHSA computer systems and troubleshoots computer issues within NEHSA.
  • Collaborates with Executive Director to provide statistics for NEHSA Annual Report.
