The Development Coordinator serves in an administrative role to support the Chief Development Officer in the organization’s fundraising efforts. By overseeing the YMCA’s development services, the Deveopment Coordinator will perform gift processing, donor event and stewardship activities, data tracking, and other general administrative functions. The hours will range from 15-20 hours per week.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of professional administrative work, preferably with experience in fundraising, non-profit, or community organization.
  • Proven ability to work well with staff and volunteers at all levels; Willing to work independently and a part of a team (departmental and cross-departmental)
  • Experienced in Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CRM/donor database applications
  • Organization/Attention to detail
  • Project Management
  • Ability to research and analyze data
  • Comfortable taking initiative
  • Able to maintain confidential and sensitive information
  • Able to balance multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines
  • Committed to the YMCA of Greater Nashua’s mission and able to serve as a community ambassador.  

Primary Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities for the Development Coordinator include timely and accurate management of donor and fundraising data, developing and maintaining development systems and best practices, planning and support of philanthropy meetings and events, and assisting execution of donor stewardship and communication strategies.

Data and Information:

  • Input, manage, and track all fundraising data in the Personfiy database and serve as primary expert for fundraising lists and reports
  • Lead the gathering, storing, and maintainence of development files
  • Assist with prospect research as needed

Stewardship and Project Management:

  • Develop systems and procedures in new software database
  • Lead for donor acknowledgment and thank you letter mailing
  • Assist with execution of annual donor stewardship and communication activities
  • Organize and manage short and long-term fundraising organizational projects

Events and Meetings:

  • Support Chief Development Officer to plan and execute fundraising volunteer meetings and donor thank you events and tours
  • Take meeting minutes for fundraising committee meetings
