Monadnock Collaborative

The Monadnock Collaborative (MC) was established in June 2001 by Pilot Health, LLC as an independent nonprofit organization. Pilot Health, a limited liability company, was formed in 1998 by five (5) nonprofit and governmental agencies in the Monadnock Region. Today the board of directors includes representation from: Cheshire County Government (CC), a leader in providing cost effective county services; Keene Housing (KH), providing housing assistance to the community’s vulnerable and low-income populations; Monadnock Developmental Services (MDS), specializing in providing individuals with developmental and related disabilities; Southwestern Community Services (SWCS), a community action agency providing support to those in need; and Cheshire Medical Center (CMC), a community hospital that supports the health and well-being of our community and its patients and their families.

The Monadnock Collaborative’s purpose is to support and nurture collaborative community efforts to address the health and social service needs of the Monadnock Region without service duplication. With the support of the five agencies, the Monadnock Collaborative has become trusted and valued in establishing strong partnerships and coalitions that work together to continually advance service systems, funding opportunities and client restrictions on eligibility. The organization provides an individual person-centered approach in order to ensure that consumers receive the services needed to remain safely in the community. MC is also committed to providing streamlined communication between consumers/patients, their caregivers, and a connected network of medical and community based social service providers.

The MC Board of Directors is seeking a self-driven and highly competent Executive Director to lead our non-profit organization towards favorable growth, and to develop and implement sound strategies that support and enhance the organization’s mission and operations. Executive Director duties include: managing organizational functions; overseeing financial management and ensuring tax compliance; providing staff leadership and improving staff performance; establishing business goals; advising board of directors on organizational activities; overseeing and streamlining daily operations; and executing special business projects.

The successful candidate’s exceptional stewardship of all resources and strategic planning skills as the Executive Director will lead the organization in promoting our mission and objectives, implementing strong programs, providing exceptional customer service, maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, achieving organizational goals, and maintaining sound financial practices.

The ideal candidate must possess a strong entrepreneurial drive, outstanding communication skills, strong leadership qualities, and good planning and organizational skills. The exceptional Executive Director should streamline our organizational operations, effectively and efficiently direct quality improvement methods, enhance revenue, direct our business strategy, and enhance relations with all stakeholders, staff, and surrounding communities.

Executive Director Responsibilities:
• Develop and direct organizational strategy.
• Work closely with Board of Directors.
• Grow and enhance organization and social service programs.
• Apply for grants and contract funding.
• Negotiate contracts with state and federal partners.
• Draft organizational policies and philosophies.
• Oversee day-to-day business activities.
• Conduct performance reviews.
• Prepare comprehensive budgets with the CFO.
• Report revenue and expenditures to the Board of Directors.
• Engage with community organizations and groups.
• Create sound business plans.
• Oversee all programs, departments and human resources.
• Supervise and coach department heads.
• Oversee programs and grants.

Executive Director Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree with five (5) years of management experience. Master’s Degree preferred.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Financial management and practices experience.
• Strategic planning.
• Highly organized.
• Project management experience.
• Highly ethical behavior.
• Effective communicator.
• Knowledge of social services and collective impact/community action.
• Effective meeting management.
• Strong community relations.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
