Bookkeeper
Peabody Home has been operating continuosly since 1942. Our mission is to provide professional, personal care in a loving home-like atmosphere where we are completely resident focused putting elders needs and desires first- we completely embrace the idea that Seior Living transition does not have to be overwhelming.
A unique senior living community nestled in the heart of a small, cozy rural city, Franklin, New Hampshire Peabody Home offers a difference with personalized living space, rewarding activities and experiences to every resident. The 24 hour on-site licensed nursing staff and physician partnership, for all residents, ensures the entire family has peace of mind.Peabody Home offers 24 hour/7 day a week access to licensed, hands on nursing care. This is a unique resource as other facilities do not always provide this amenity. Residents may transfer back and forth between levels of care as their needs warrant. We strive to provide independence, self-esteem and dignity by providing the residents just the right amount of assistance based upon a determination of needs.
We are a registered 501 3 c organization and accept Private Pay residents. Many options abound at Peabody that allow seniors to live in dignity as they cope with aging. We provide Assisted LIving, Respite, Hospice, Nursing & Memory Care. There are no entrance fees, residents pay only for the care they actually need thus preserving their resources for much longer.
Maintains system of accurate financial record keeping that includes:
Cash receipts, processing payments and donations, posts receipts in the accounting database and prepares bank deposits.
Accounts Payable/Receivable: processes charges with verification from department supervisors. Attention to due dates for maximum discounts. Printing and mailing monthly statements. Provides Business Office Liaison with timely updates on resident billing status. Assists residents and families with any billing questions.
Payroll: processes payroll bi-weekly tracking and accounting for earned time usage and maintains accurate records according to policy and procedures.
Resident Activities Fund: processes all aspects of cash receivables and cash requests from the Activities Department. Maintains accurate records and performs bank reconciliation.
Manages organization Petty Cash in accordance with policy and procedure.
Month end: reconciles banks statements, processes month end reporting in organization database and assists Business Office Liaison with all month end processing tasks.
Acts as back-up to the Business Office Liaison as needed including answering phones, assisting employees, residents and families with their questions.
Performs any other duties as directed by the Business Office Liaison or Administrator.
High School Diploma
Associates degree in Accounting or Secretarial Science
3 Years experience in bookkeeping or accounting preferably in a healthcare setting
PC proficient with ability to use Excel, Word platform and learn PointClick Care and Relias programs.
Able to pivot and adjust taks and daily work load to meet the needs of the organization. Must maintain confidentiality at all levels and be committed to support the Pebaody Home mission. Check www.peabodyhome.org for details about our facility.
