The Front Door Agency, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization celebrating its 30th year offering support and programs to assist families and individuals in greater Nashua, NH transition from crisis to self-sufficiency. It has a great reputation of serving families at-risk of homelessness in becoming independent through its Transitional Housing, Housing Stability, Affordable Housing, and its Financial Literacy Programs.

Our main office/headquarters is located at 7 Concord Street, Nashua, NH 03064 and is open Monday-Thursday 8:30-4:30 and closed on Fridays.

Reporting to Transformational Housing Director, the Phase I Case Manager will be a member of the FDA’s transformational housing team. S/he will provide extensive case management services to mothers and children who are experiencing crisis, but who are motivated to break the cycle of poverty and become independent through education. 


The ideal candidate will have a passion for the mission of the Front Door Agency, a keen understanding of its programs and goals, and the ability to articulate the important role the organization plays in the lives of so many families in the Greater Nashua area. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Psychology or similar field; a minimum of three years of direct case management experience; be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel; and have some knowledge or experience working with women who have mental health or substance use disorder histories. S/he must possess strong verbal and writing skills, and must have a collegial, team-building style, be able to lift 20 lbs. Regular hours will be between the hours of 8-6 but candidate must be flexible to work additional early evening hours if necessary in order to meet with clients.   


The Case Manger will work closely with prospective and current clients in providing direction, guidance, establishment of goals, and creating accountability.  S/he will lead in service coordination and determine appropriate services/referrals needed; coordinate life skills groups; assist in personal budgeting; ensure client compliance with program and housing rules and expectations; document outcomes; and maintain a professional working relationship with staff, community and clients. The key role of the position will be to create a positive environment for mothers and children as they begin to rebuild their lives while also helping them to meet personal and program goals. S/he will be working in partnership to help mothers and children stabilize, transform and ultimately become empowered to reach self-sufficiency.
