Clinician, Mobile Crisis Response Team

Greater Nashua Mental Health

Established in 1920, Greater Nashua Mental Health has as its mission: empowering individuals to lead full and satisfying lives through treatment and support. Our agency provides comprehensive, evidence-based behavioral health services for individuals with mental health and/or substance misuse disorders. We offer a wide array of services in office and community settings, serving adults and children.  As the State-designated Community Mental Health Center for Southern Hillsborough County, we serve everyone who walks in our doors, and no one is ever turned away due to the inability to pay for services.  Without our agency, many of the most vulnerable members of our community would not have access to critically needed behavioral health care.   We believe that by respecting people as they are, we can help them to become all that they wish to be.

We have a full-time 3rd shift opening for a Clinician to join our Mobile Crisis Response Team! Work schedule will be Monday – Friday. This is a fast-paced, dynamic position that requires flexibility, multi-tasking and strong crisis management skills. This is a great opportunity to bring your clinical skills where they are needed the most, and make a real difference in the community.
The Clinician will be working with a team of professionals — including first responders, healthcare providers, and community-based agencies — to stabilize a psychiatric crisis, avoid hospitalization and/or incarceration, and initiate immediate community-based treatment. These evaluations are performed homes, hospitals, community and mobile-based milieus. Applying differential diagnostic skills, incumbents provide telephone triage, mental status assessment, collateral contact with family supports, extended evaluations, resource screening, referrals for psychiatric consults, and assessments for appropriate disposition.
A Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling or related field is required. Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of NH (LICSW, LMFT, LCMHC, Licensed Psychologist or Master’s Level Counselor). Candidates should be experienced in diagnosing mental health/substance abuse disorders, motivational interviewing, solution focused counseling and providing psychotherapy.
Greater Nashua Mental Health is an eligible employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program, NH State Loan Repayment Program and offers competitive salaries and comprehensive employee benefits. Apply today!
