Program Coordinator

The Upper Room, A Family Resource Center

The Upper Room, A Family Resource Center located in Derry, NH is a 501C(3) non-profit organization, committed to creating educational programs and services to strengthen individuals, families and the community.   Founded in 1986, our organization has provided support, services, education and resources to all who inquire.  Our center is a warm and welcoming place, striving to foster a sense of belonging and purpose, while providing information and guidance to strengthen children and families, and build a stronger community.

Provide coordination of Teen Parenting Services including community based meetings and school based services and case management to support teen and young adults and thier children up to age 23.


Degree in Social Work/Mental Health/Counseling preferred

  • Seeking Individual with strong group facilitation skills
  • Understanding of complex family systems, and trauma informed care
  • Ability to facilitate parent support group, including a childcare component with a staff member 
  • Casemanagement experience
  • Resource and Referral skills
  • Ability to mentor and develop positive relationships with young families
  • Belief in self sufficiency and the tools needed to live fully to that potential

Coordinator will offer the following for the program:

  • Facilitate weekly group meeting in the evening
  • Provide individual support to each enrolled family through one on one meetings
  • Develop relationships with area high schools to deliver school based services (When this is permissable again)
  • Work in conjunction with other area agencies and Upper Room programs to offer comprehensive family support services to young families
  • Develop annual calendar of activities which will provide young families the skills, education, and opportunities 
  • Provide Parent Education/support with the goal of increasing family function to reduce child abuse or neglect
