Residential Counselor

Core services include 24/7 emergency mobile crisis services; counseling services for children, adults, and families; addiction treatment; and community support, vocational services, and residential programs for adults and seniors. Residential Counselor

Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based behavioral health services in New Hampshire, is seeking a full-time Residential Counselor to work in our program as a support person and counselor for 1st and 2nd shift coverage.  The schedule is Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, 1pm - 11pm.

As a Residential Counselor, you’ll be responsible for providing services and support to adults living with mental illness, assisting them in their recovery, and helping them attain the goals they have set for themselves. If you are flexible — and possess excellent administrative and counseling skills — this could be a great opportunity!

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, rehabilitation, education, or human services is required.
  • One year of related work experience preferred.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, and some holidays is required.
  • A valid driver’s license, personal vehicle with auto insurance is required.
  • Encourage and support residents with routine residential functions such as preparing meals and housekeeping
  • Assist in managing activities and services for residents
  • Encourage and support residents in reaching their goals
  • Ensure the safety of residents and other staff
