Spaulding Youth Center is a leading provider of educational, residential, therapeutic and foster care programs and services for children and youth with neurological, emotional, behavioral, learning or developmental challenges, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and those who have experienced significant trauma, abuse or neglect. Established in 1958, our spacious campus is located on nearly 500 acres in Northfield, NH and welcomes boys and girls from 5 to 21.

Our Residential team is seeking Residential Assistant Awake Overnight to support students, ages 4 to 21 years old, with neurological impairments that include autism, intellectual disabilities, emotional disorders and behavioral challenges of those who have experienced significant trauma, abuse or neglect.

Requirements:

Key qualities to be successful in this role include compassion, reliability and personal integrity. You must be able to consistently follow through with treatment strategies to help our students achieve their highest level of success. CPR/First Aid, Professional Crisis Management and other trauma-focused certifications are required, but can be obtained through Spaulding training programs. Experience working with developmentally and/or emotionally challenged individuals is helpful, but we are willing to train individuals looking for a career that will change lives. Applicants are required to be 21 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities:

This position is primarily to provide direct care to students during non-school hours. The role encompasses the supervision of students during overnight hours with environmental checks every 30 minutes and room checks every 60 minutes. Responsible for observation and documentation, and for maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
