Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LADC)

North Country Health Consortium

The North Country Health Consortium (NCHC) is a dynamic and innovative non-profit organization created in 1997 as a vehicle for addressing common issues through collaboration among health and human service providers serving Northern New Hampshire. NCHC is engaged in activities for:

  • solving common problems and facilitating regional solutions
  • creating and facilitating services and programs to improve population health status
  • health professional training, continuing education and management services to encourage sustainability of the health care infrastructure
  • increasing capacity for local public health essential services
  • increasing access to health care for underserved and uninsured residents of Northern New Hampshire

The following Full-Time position is available within NCHC's Substance Use Disorders Clinical Services at the Friendship House location, a comprehensive residential treatment facility that serves individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. 

  • Master’s level LADC (MLADC) preferred, state licensure as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (NH LADC), or equivalent reciprocal out-of-state license
  • Significant experience with: evidence-based SUD treatment modalities, Recovery-oriented Systems of Care, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), community recovery support programs, and the 12-core functions of counseling
  • Ability to set up and maintain efficient and effective systems and processes to manage details
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, writing, and communication skills

•  Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis, treatment care planning, education, and on-going communication for patients with SUD, working with health care systems and other partners to provide individual assessments, transition support, and education • Facilitate individual, family, and/or group counseling • Support clients in successfully undergoing treatment, providing care referrals as appropriate • Work in a collaborative environment with Clinical Leadership team to deliver status reports regarding interactions and outcomes with clients
