Amoskeag Health, formerly Manchester Community Health Center (MCHC), is a nonprofit 501(c) (3) federally qualified health center offering high-quality, comprehensive, and family-oriented primary health care and support services since 1993. Now known as The Dr. Selma Deitch Center for Children and Teens, Child Health Services (CHS) is the original pediatric practice of MCHC dedicated to improving the health and well-being of at-risk children. In June of 2019, all locations of MCHC consolidated under one name, Amoskeag Health.

Through all its programs, Amoskeag Health serves over 14,579 patients annually across four locations in Manchester.

This health center receives HHS funding and has Federal Public Health Service (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.

Primary care, preventive care, outreach and enabling services at Amoskeag Health are supported in part by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under the Health Center Cluster grant number H80CS00571. This grant provides approximately 15% of total revenue.

Come join our dynamic team of Masters Level Clinicians providing behavioral health consultation in a primary care medical setting that is the safety-net provider for Greater Manchester. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team working together to ensure our patients and families succeed and thrive.  We are willing to train the right candidate, including conference attendance and supervision for licensure if needed, however licensure would be a plus.  This is a full-time day position with 1 evening until 7pm. 

The Behavioral Health Consultant provides behavioral health consultation/therapy to adolescents, adults and families in a community healthcare environment. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, brief treatment and crisis management to behavioral health clients.   We are looking for an individual who works well in a fast-paced environment, has the ability to work independently as well as utilize effective communication skills within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.  Must have some ability to be flexible with their schedule. 



•Education/Experience: Masters Degree in Social Work or other related field from an accredited graduate school with 2+ years’ experience in the field, preferably some in a medical setting.
•Certificates and Licenses:  Licensed or working towards licensure in the State of NH as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or other related field.
•LADC/MLADC preferred
•Must demonstrate knowledge of community resources and the ability to network.  Experience with low-income and multi-cultural populations necessary.
•Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software.
•Skills:  Ability to work independently.  Bilingual ability in English and Spanish a plus.
