North Country Community Outreach Coordinator
CASA is a statewide nonprofit organization that recruits, trains and supervises volunteer Guardians Ad Litem to advocate in court on behalf of abused and neglected children. Since 1989, CASA has provided a voice for abused and neglected children and youth by empowering a statewide network of trained volunteers to advocate on their behalf so they can thrive in safe, permanent homes. CASA of New Hampshire is hiring a North Country Outreach Coordinator to support recruitment and screening of CASA volunteers and public awareness of the organization in Belknap, Carroll, Coos and Grafton counties. The position requires someone with a strong familiarity of the northern regions of the states and prior experience working in rural communities. The position is based out of our Berlin and/or Colebrook offices.
Knowledge & Skills:
Education & Experience:
> Assists in the ongoing development and implementation of CASA’s volunteer recruitment plan, including but not limited to:
> Process’s volunteer applications
> Oversees/Assists in screening & interviewing perspective volunteers
> Assists in scheduling & coordinating in-service and other specialized training sessions.
> Maintains relevant volunteer data.
> Maintains contact with active volunteers via electronic communication and other opportunities.
> Assists in organizing & coordinating volunteer recognition events,
> Assists in planning and implementation of local Community Receptions.
> Assists in local and regional fundraising events.
This can be a full-time job for one candidate, or a part-time job for two candidates who will split the region.
