North Country Community Outreach Coordinator

CASA is a statewide nonprofit organization that recruits, trains and supervises volunteer Guardians Ad Litem to advocate in court on behalf of abused and neglected children. Since 1989, CASA has  provided a voice for abused and neglected children and youth by empowering a statewide network of trained volunteers to advocate on their behalf so they can thrive in safe, permanent homes. CASA of New Hampshire is hiring a North Country Outreach Coordinator to support recruitment and screening of CASA volunteers and public awareness of the organization in Belknap, Carroll, Coos and Grafton counties. The position requires someone with a strong familiarity of the northern regions of the states and prior experience working in rural communities. The position is based out of our Berlin and/or Colebrook offices.  


Knowledge & Skills:

  • Familiarity with the northern regions of New Hampshire and/or prior experience working in rural communities.
  • Self-directed, self motivated
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Social media skills & experience

Education & Experience:

  • Marketing & Public Relations experience
  • Experience coordinating and/or facilitating training
  • Bachelors degree
  • Experience in recruitment and management of adult volunteers

> Assists in the ongoing development and implementation of CASA’s volunteer recruitment plan, including but not limited to:

  • Contacting businesses, service clubs, churches, etc. in an effort to disseminate information regarding CASA’s volunteer opportunities.
  • Identifying and conducting speaking engagements.
  • Collaborates with Director of Communications on all North Country social media efforts and in promoting CASA in statewide & local media outlets, i.e.: TV, radio & print.
  • Responds to requests for information regarding volunteer opportunities and disseminates appropriate materials.

Process’s volunteer applications

Oversees/Assists in screening & interviewing perspective volunteers

Assists in scheduling & coordinating in-service and other specialized training sessions.

Maintains relevant volunteer data.

Maintains contact with active volunteers via electronic communication and other opportunities.

Assists in organizing & coordinating volunteer recognition events,

Assists in planning and implementation of local Community Receptions.

Assists in local and regional fundraising events.
