Family Coach

Riverbend Community Mental Health

Founded in 1963, Riverbend Community Mental Health is a private, nonprofit organization providing specialized behavioral health services in central New Hampshire. Core services include 24/7 emergency mobile crisis services; counseling services for children, adults, and families; addiction treatment; and community support, vocational services, and residential programs for adults and seniors. Family Coach

Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based behavioral health services in New Hampshire, is seeking a full-time Family Coach to work in our Children’s Program (ChIP), providing community-based support services to children and families where needed, including, home, school, and community settings.  

As a Family Coach, you will have the opportunity to support families in improving communications, implementing effective parenting and behavior management strategies and connecting to community resources. You will be part of a dedicated team of professionals providing a wide array of services to meet the need of children, youth and families in our community. You will benefit from a strong collegial support.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, family studies, child development, social work, or related field is required.
  • Experience working directly with children and families is preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License, personal vehicle, and auto insurance is required.
  • Provide parent education and support
  • Support the use of positive communication skills between family members
  • Help caregivers to implement parenting and behavior management strategies
  • Provide case management
  • Participate on multi-disciplinary clinical treatment teams
  • Collaborate with community partners
