System Support Assistant

Current Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (40 hours per week), 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. 

Concord Regional VNA is hiring a System Support Assistant! This is a full-time opportunity with benefits!

Reporting to the IT Supervisor, the Concord Regional VNA System Support Assistant is responsible for initial support of laptop and desktop troubleshooting. The System Support Assistant manages equipment and provides support for cell phones and applications.

Requirements:
  1. Associates Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology required
  2. Two to three years of experience providing technology support to end users
  3. Knowledge of laptop imaging and use of encryption preferred
  4. Knowledge of cell phone management using MDM
  5. Work Environment

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Manages all agency cell phones- preparation for deployment phone swaps. Verizon website updates and access database updates, training as designated.
  • Supports, develops and provides training for paraprofessional staff on mobilecare. Groupwise, Intranet and cell phone usage.
  • Responsible for new user set up - Home care application security set up in prod and train, physiotools logons, copies of manual for initial orientation day.
  • Manages equipment database: desktops, laptops, cell phones, pagers, GPS Units and printers, etc. labeling, tracking, cleaning, coordination of repairs.
  • Provides initial troubleshooting for laptop field device and desktop applications/password changes. Forwards issues to System Support Coordinator that can’t be resolved in 15 mins.
  • Supports, develops and provides staff training for desktop users for all desktop applications and Hospice IPU application and Vocera use.
  • Assists in all upgrades including Upgrades to per diem, vacation, spare laptops.
  • Manages the documentation and resolution of all staff support calls.
  • Troubleshoots basic technical issues with printers/fax machines/copiers and other electronic equipment. Forwards unresolved issues daily.

  • Prepares conference rooms for audio visual needs per request. 
  • Maintains contact lists for cell phones, groupwise, tiger text broadcast lists for all comings and goings.
