Spaulding Youth Center

Spaulding Youth Center, located on a spacious campus in Northfield, NH, is a nonprofit dedicated to improving and enriching the lives of emotionally and/or intellectually challenged children, youth and their families. We seek talented people to join our professional staff who are committed to helping children and youth with autism, or neurological and behavioral challenges to achieve their full potential.

Spaulding Youth Center is seeking a Clinician to add to our highly-skilled clinical team. This position will include providing individual and group therapy with residential students as well as family systems focus. The Clinician will work closely with academic staff, residential staff, and other related service providers to deliver exemplary care to students and families who are served by Spaulding Youth Center. Clinicians play a central role in collaborating with families and staff to produce positive outcomes for challenging children and youth.

Spaulding Youth Center is a leading provider of educational, residential, therapeutic and foster care programs and services for children and youth with neurological, emotional, behavioral, learning and development challenges, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and those who have experienced significant trauma, abuse or neglect. Job Type: Full-time


Successful candidates will have experience providing trauma informed clinical services to children from a foundation of evidence-based practice. There are opportunities to work with a variety of clinical presentations across the areas of behavioral and emotional needs.

Additional requirements:

  • Strong clinical knowledge and judgment, organizational skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • Skill in working with children from hard places, working knowledge of residential life and flexibility are encouraged.
  • Must have good oral and written language skills as well as good computer skills.
  • Candidates should possess a master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or other related field that allows for clinical therapy with youth and family.
  • State of NH clinical certification or license-eligible.
  • Relevant work experience with similar population preferred.
