GoodLife Programs & Activities is a non-profit organization supporting health and wellness for older adults aged 50+.   Opening in May 2013, we have grown exponentially to now serve 1,800 participants in Concord, NH and surrounding towns.  At our vibrant Center in Concord, we offer a great variety of programs and activities designed to enhance an active, independent lifestyle, and support positive health & well-being as we age.  Visit our web site: www.goodlifenh.org.


Position Overview

GoodLife Programs and Activities is seeking a creative, energized Executive Director to lead our unique, progressive organization. We are a Concord, NH-based non-profit 501c(3), and our goal is to enhance and support the mental, physical, spiritual, and social health of those aged 50-plus, whether retired or still working. We provide fitness, wellness and other activities in a non-residential setting, for active, independent seniors in New Hampshire. Our organization consists of three staff positions plus the Executive Director. Please visit our website: www.goodlife.org.

Qualified candidates for this position will have:

  • Demonstratable history of team leadership, including at least five years of management experience working in a grassroots, community-based, non-profit environment.
  • Significant experience working with older adults developing programming for seniors.
  • History of using strategic analysis to move projects and operations forward
  • Solid administrative/management, critical thinking, decision-making, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for community partnership
  • Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree preferred, with commensurate experience considered.
Responsibilities:

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Serves as the Chief Executive Officer, under the oversight of the Board of Directors
  • Responsible for the overall management and direction of GoodLife, providing planning, vision, and leadership for all aspects of the organization
  • Oversees operations, including program development, financial functions, facilities management, fundraising, human resources, marketing and communications, community relations, advocacy, outreach and board relations
  • Takes a leadership role in partnering and collaborating with businesses, foundations, government officials, other nonprofits and supporters and advocates at local and state levels; serves as the public face for the organization      
  • Champions the organization’s vision, goals and values
