Membership Coordinator

New Hampshire Public Broadcasting

New Hampshire PBS inspires one million Granite Staters each month with engaging and trusted local and national programs on-air, online, via mobile, in classrooms and in communities. Founded in 1959 as the New Hampshire Network, the station has evolved its identity and services over the years. From the New Hampshire Network to Channel 11 to New Hampshire Public Television, and as of October 1, 2017, New Hampshire PBS. The station’s new identity more strongly reflects its affinity with the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and its evolution as a multi-media public service provider.

NHPBS is a 501(c)3 multi-media, educational non-profit organization governed by a local Board of Directors. As the only statewide, locally owned and operated PBS member station, five transmitters carry the station’s signal to 98% of the Granite State, (and beyond). Over 200,000 students annually benefit from NHPBS' free, curriculum-aligned, educational services, while hundreds of thousands of online visitors access information and interactive content. NHPBS engages audiences via community screenings and events that spark meaningful dialogue and community connection throughout the Granite State. The station receives no state funding and is supported by nearly 22,000 members.

 


New Hampshire PBS is hiring an organized, team oriented person with customer service experience to maintain and increase our membership base and provide fundraising support to the Director of Individual Giving and Donor Relations.  The Membership Coordinator's primary responsibilities are to provide excellent customer service by building relationships with our viewers, members and donors.

Requirements:
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems.  
  • Problem solver
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and a keen eye for accuracy
  • Dependable, collaborative and team player
  • Occasional weekend and evening event work
  • Associates or Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience considered
  • Familiarity and appreciation of PBS a plus!
Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service - respond to all donor/membership inquiries in a positive, professional and timely manner
  • Gift Processing – process new donations and manage existing member accounts in member database
  • Donor Retention Program – update payment information, renewals, and processing of all gifts
  • Donation Reporting – Perform data hygiene projects; review donation reports for accuracy and detail
  • Development Marketing Support – Provide support for on-air fundraising, direct mail, digital solicitations, canvassing, telemarketing, events and major gifts.  Perform tasks pertinent to the NHPBS KIDS Club including planning and execution of KIDS Club events, identifying members, and member correspondence
  • Other duties as assigned
