Catholic Charities New Hampshire is looking for part time Receptionist/Administrative Assistant (15 hrs/wk) to join our team of dedicated professionals in our Keene Service Location in Keene, NH. The schedule for this position will be Monday through Wednesday 8:30am to 12:30pm and Thursday from 8:30am to 11:30am. Our office provides counseling services to individuals, couples and families, as well as parish and community outreach services.  Our clients come from all faiths and every walk of life and we are committed to serving every client with compassion and respect.

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Possess the ability to deal tactfully with the general public
  • Three (3) years’ work experience in an office environment with prior experience and/or knowledge of bookkeeping
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office Products
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and have the ability to function well in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess excellent time management and verbal/written communication skills  and able to function independently
  • Must be punctual, dependable, and demonstrate compassion and patience
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English and follow oral and written instructions

Physical Demands

  • Sitting, standing, bending, lifting, stretching and moving within designated work area
  • Close and distance vision, ability to distinguish color, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry 10 lbs, occasionally lift and transfer up to 20 lbs
  • Greet clients and visitors and maintain waiting room in comfortable and orderly fashion
  • Answer telephone and forward calls, providing information and referral resources as appropriate
  • Provide administrative support such as typing, filing, faxing and copying for Program Staff
  • Sort, distribute, and route incoming mail to appropriate personnel
  • Order office supplies, call for maintenance and repair on all office equipment
  • Insure that department files are appropriately maintained
