Early Childhood Project Assistant

The Early Childhood Project Assistant will work closely with the Director of Strategic Initiatives for Children in support of Project LAUNCH and Community Schools goals. The Early Childhood Project Assistant will work with the Director, Project LAUNCH Staff, MCHC, Manchester Health Department (MHD), Manchester School District (MSD), local early childhood education providers, and other agencies to assist in building the early childhood system in Manchester. S/he shall be a bachelors level early childhood educator or similar, with at least five years’ experience working with early childhood education programs, schools, children and families and young children.

Responsibilities & Authorities:
•Assist in Coordination of an Early Learning Collaborative (ELC) in Manchester that brings together public and private early childhood education programs.
•Provide administrative support to the ELC and Director of Strategic Initiatives for Children.
•Coordinate training and professional development among the ELC members
•Assist the Community Schools Initiative with Countdown to Kindergarten.
•Support ELC efforts to provide more coordinated student transitions, implementation of ASQ/ASQ-SE in early learning programs and the public schools, ensuring intentional connections to Project LAUNCH related supports are available and accessed for children birth-8 years
•Summarize pertinent data to other team members in support of the goals of Project LAUNCH and Community Schools
•Contact providers to update information
•Maintain accurate and orderly data
•Maintain an effective and orderly filing system
•Establish positive, supportive relationships with ELC participants and provide feedback
•Other duties as assigned the Director of Strategic Initiatives for Children

Qualifications:
•Bachelors Level required in early childhood education, child development, or similar field
•5 years of experience working with early childhood education programs, schools, children and families 
•CDB Early Childhood Master Professional Credential with the Program Consultant or Allied Professional Endorsement
•Verifiable good driving record and reliable transportation
•Background check and fingerprinting
