Patient Intake Representative/Bilingual English - Spanish preferred

The New Patient Registration representative is responsible for the accurate completion of the new patient registration process to include responding to new patient inquiries, data entry of patient data and demographics into the practice management system, and when indicated, intake/discount determination, distribution of information about the Health Center and services provided and Medical Discount Card renewal processing. Provides back-up to other Front Office personnel.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to1.Answer all new patients incoming calls directed to that extension or take messages and return phone calls to new patients in a timely manner.
2.Respond to individuals seeking to access care as a new patient of the Health Center.
3.Enter patient demographic data into the practice management system.
4.Schedule new patient appointments according to scheduling protocol.
5.Assist with keeping patient demographic data, insurance and financial information updated in practice management system as needed.
6.Perform intake screenings to include interview, documentation, Medical Discount Card distribution and renewals, and updates as indicated according to intake protocol.
7.Perform Medicaid and Marketplace screenings to include interview, documentation, application submission, enrollment and renewals based on patient’s eligibility.
8.Set up payment plans according to facility guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • HIgh School Degree plus 2 years of experience
  • Bilingual Spanish-English
