Receptionist

~~Southeastern NH Alcohol & Drug Abuse Services (SENHS) Mission: To provide the highest possible quality addiction and recovery support services.  Our focus is to promote wellness and quality of life, helping anyone who has been adversely impacted by substance use disorders, and their consequences. We are a private, nonprofit Agency dedicated to helping people recover from addiction disorders.


The Receptionist is responsible for: The Receptionist is responsible for assisting with all office functions and duties that are performed according to policies and procedures, provide support to potential and incoming clients and/or visitors at SENHS, responsible for the collection fees associated to services rendered for all programs and reporting of such in Quick books, ordering of office supplies, ordering of paper products for residential use, coordinating and ordering of food/supplies for residential programs, and assisting Management Team as requested/required. Must have the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a busy office/clinical environment. Previous physician office or billing experience required, as well as proficiency with Microsoft office products including word, excel and outlook.

• Ability to work with alcohol and/or drug addicted individuals.
• Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully; good inter-personal skills.
• Ability to maintain a warm and friendly demeanor with clients and potential clients, sometimes during stressful times of the day
• If in recovery, provide evidence of personal stability as well as adhering to all SENHS Policies as it relates to recovery.
• Demonstrable skill in using computers: Word, Excel, Access, etc.
• Ability to multi-task efficiently.
• Demonstrated proficiency in excellent customer service.
• Ability to communicate well in writing and verbally.
• Able to maintain confidential information

Responsibilities:

Major Responsibilities:
• Responsible for providing emotional support to all visitors and/or residents in the lobby area and ensuring that those entering the building are signed in properly.
• Responsible for answering all telephone lines, taking messages, transferring calls, etc.
• Responsible for directing calls to the proper staff to perform phone screens and intake procedures.
• Responsible for taking in payments and recording financial transactions for the all programs, credit card processing, donations, etc. and preparing daily report for Finance Department.
• Responsible for managing incoming mail as directed by Policies & Procedures. Individual will open incoming mail, date stamp it and place it in the appropriate staff mailbox
• Responsible for applying postage on all outgoing mail.
• Responsible to loading the postage machine with postage periodically.
• Responsible for compiling list of office supplies and collecting food lists needed and works with CFO to get approval for orders.
• Responsible for assisting Billing Department with any/all insurance related information.
• Responsible for Outpatient Program Services screenings and appointment bookings.
• Responsible for receiving goods, such as office supplies, checking packing slips, storage and sending the correct documentation to Finance Department.
• Responsible to communicate and work as a team member with all individuals on all shifts.
• Serves as a role model for clients regarding conduct within the office and in attire.
• Responsible to report all unusual behaviors observed to supervisor immediately.

Salary Range:
