If you’re looking for a challenging and rewarding career in Human Services, The Moore Center’s new Emergency Temporary Placement program (ETP) may be a good fit for you!

This ground-breaking program offers temporary placement in a clinical home environment for individuals in crisis situations, with care managed by our team of professionals. It’s a residential program, and we’re looking for a Registered Behavioral Tech to work with our Clinical Direct Support Professionals to provide direct care to ensure stabilization and temporary respite.

It’s a fast-paced and rewarding environment where you’ll be in a key position to help individuals transition through a critical time in their lives.  Clients who are eligible for participation in this program have various intellectual disabilities and may also have additional mental health challenges.

This program is a new, innovative model for stabilization of clinically complex individuals, working within a well-established residential field that seeks to supplement crisis intervention options. You’ll gain valuable experience by working with a diverse client base as well as professional clinical teams to handle a variety of crisis situations in our residential environment. You’ll receive an accelerated level of training and hands-on experience.

A Registered Behavioral Tech is a hands-on position within our Clinical Department. This is a 2nd shift position acting as the team lead for Clinical Direct Support Professionals. It offers experience in working with a wide range of clients in crisis situations, as well as advance training.

Must have current certification as a Registered Behavioral Tech with a minimum of 1 year experience in human services required; 3 years’ experience preferred. Applicants must also pass criminal, motor vehicle, and Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services background checks that meet agency standards, and possess a valid driver’s license and access to a safe, operating and insured vehicle during scheduled working hours.


As a Registered Behavioral Tech you’ll:

  • Collect, summarize and interpret behavioral data to make recommendations for interventions
  • Assist in conducting interventions and act as a role model/mentor for our team of Clinical Direct Support Professionals
  • Act in a team-lead capacity for our second shift support team
  • Assist in creating and conducting sensory activities as appropriate for the client base that incorporate fun and/or mindfulness
