Assistant Site Coordinator

SJCS Meals on Wheels was founded by nuns at St. Joseph’s Hospital, but since 1977 operates as a non-religious, nonprofit 501(c) (3) organization providing an average of 1,450 nutritious meals to the elderly and homebound disabled throughout Hillsborough County. Our mission is to foster independence and life enrichment for seniors and other qualified adults through nutrition, social engagement, community services, and education. Responsible for the management of food production as well as quality control at a Meals on Wheels and Community Dining facility in Manchester, NH. Responsible for assisting the Site Coordinator in all aspects of site management. This position is 30 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Previous supervisory experience, computer proficiency and good writing skills are required. Strong attention to detail essential.

H.S. diploma or GED, DMV & Criminal background check conducted. A valid New Hampshire Driver’s License and automobile insurance of at least $100K/$300K for Bodily Injury coverage required. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. and climb stairs. Desire to work with homebound older and disabled adults is a must. Please submit a cover letter with your application. EOE


• Assist with the completion of all administrative paperwork and documentation.
• Conduct inventory and purchase supplies for site.
• Make deposit in designated bank on a daily basis.
• Assist with recruiting site volunteers as needed.
• Assist with the promotion of the congregate dining program.
• Assist with the organization of programs of interest to congregate clients.
• Manage food production and quality control.
• Responsible for creating meal order.
• Manage meal waste via number of meals ordered vs. meals served.
• Ensure the sites are maintained in accordance with health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
• Assist with the supervision of paid employees and volunteers.
• Report ANY accidents/injuries involving employees, volunteers or clients to the Regional Site Manager immediately.
• Follow and administer SJCS policies and procedures.
• Cover other positions as needed.
• Develop and maintain open communication at all levels.
• Attend in-service training and other professional development opportunities as required by Administrative Office.
Perform other duties as assigned.
