New providers join Families First, Goodwin health centers

Portsmouth/Somersworth – Two family physicians and a physician assistant have recently joined Goodwin Community Health in Somersworth and Families First Health & Support Center in Portsmouth.
Joseph E. Fuller Jr., MD, FAAFP, earned his medical degree at University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Mass. In the early 1980s, Dr. Fuller worked at Lamprey Health Care in Raymond and Newmarket; he says he is glad to once again be working in community health care, where his career began. Though most of his career has been in family practice, he has also practiced medicine in hospital emergency rooms, convalescent centers and a physical therapy practice. For the past 13 years he worked at Rochester Hill Family Practice and as an attending physician at Frisbie Memorial Hospital. He is board-certified in family practice and has a special certificate of added qualifications in geriatrics. He will be based initially at Goodwin Community Health, seeing patients of all ages.
Annie Macadam, PA-C, MBA, MPH, earned her physician assistant degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2013. After working at a hospital in upstate New York for two years, she went to Costa Rica to study Spanish and then worked at a rural hospital in Honduras. When she returned to the United States, she practiced at a community health center outside New York City. Most recently, she earned master’s degrees in both Business Administration and Public Health from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Her interests include lifestyle medicine, population health, and chronic-disease prevention. She is accepting new adult patients at Families First and also sees children for sick visits.
Terra Wilkins, MD, is from rural British Columbia, where she became interested in family medicine after growing up with the traditional GP (general practitioner) model. During medical school at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, she participated in the Keith B. Taylor Global Scholars Program, which took her to the United Kingdom, India, Grenada and New York City. After graduating in 2017, she completed a residency in family medicine at Central Maine Medical Center, including special training in rural medicine and sports medicine. She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. She sees patients of all ages at both Families First and Goodwin, providing both primary care and prenatal care.
