Manchester Community Health Center Receives Quality Award from Federal Government

Manchester -  Manchester Community Health Center (MCHC) is the recipient of the 2017 Health Center Quality Leader award presented by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

As a HRSA Health Center Quality Leader, MCHC was among the top 30% of all HRSA-supported health centers that achieved the best overall clinical outcomes, demonstrating high-quality across clinical operations. The HRSA criteria for this award include performance measures around the quality of care, patient health outcomes, and the value of care delivered to patients.

“We know there are individual patients that we interact with each day whose lives are improved by what we are able to offer,” said Gavin Muir, Chief Medical Officer at MCHC. “This award informs us that not only are we making a difference for individual patients but we are making a difference for the population as a whole.”

As the only federally qualified health center in Manchester, MCHC focuses on providing community-based primary health care services and support services that are affordable, accessible and cost-effective to over 16,000 patients.

“We are very proud of this achievement. This designation demonstrates our commitment to providing quality primary health care services to the greater Manchester community,” said Kris McCracken, President, and CEO at Manchester Community Health Center. “We are grateful for the recognition HRSA has provided. This is confirmation for us that by integrating primary care, enabling services and behavioral health in a culturally effective manner, that you can achieve the highest level of quality. We remain dedicated to continuing to improve care delivery to our patients and break down barriers to care highly effective care.”
