Thoughts on Employee Termination

Presented by: HR ROI Consulting, LLC

The decision to terminate employment is often difficult and sensitive. Other times, it can be an absolute necessity, without question. However, as an employer, it is vitally important to handle all terminations correctly.

To that end, we invite you to join Attorney Brian Bouchard of Sheehan Phinney, the guest speaker for HR ROI's Nonprofit Peer-to-Peer group May session. Brian will facilitate an in-depth discussion of what every organization should consider when letting someone go. He will cover all facets of the termination process, including documentation, notice, final wages, restrictive covenants, and separation agreements.  Brian will also provide guidance on how to handle more delicate, potentially acrimonious transitions.

Brian is a seasoned litigator and counselor in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, where he works in Sheehan Phinney's litigation and employment law departments. Brian counsels and represents for profit and nonprofit organizations through all manner of complexities, including claims involving discrimination, retaliation, and wage and hour violations; questions involving employee management, executive contracts, employee mobility; and legal compliance.  Brian has written and lectured on legal topics throughout New England.

Please contact Gayle O'Connor,, Sr. Partner & Consultant at HR ROI regarding joining our Nonprofit Peer-to-Peer Group. You'll be added to the attendee list and receive invitations to our monthly sessions.

Date/Time: Tuesday, May 17, 2022 - 8:00am to 9:00am
