A Note from Kathleen: On Rest, Resolve, and Rising to the Moment

I recently returned from a vacation where I purposely unplugged from the news; it was a much-needed break.

To say that this year has been intense for nonprofit leaders is an understatement. Our sector is facing threats unlike we’ve ever seen before— from increased political scrutiny to funding uncertainty.

I’m convinced that nonprofits must unite like never before — to organize, advocate, and ensure our sector and the vital work we do in communities survives and thrives.

As nonprofit leaders, we know well the important role we play.  But how often do we tout our sector’s collective value? Now is the time to help the public understand that nonprofits deliver critical services, drive economic growth, and strengthen communities.

That’s why I hope you’ll join us at the Nonprofit Leadership Summit in September.  Our keynote speaker will help us to reclaim our stories, challenge outdated narratives, and lead with courage and clarity.  We’ve also built in time for you to learn from and with each other. We hope the Summit will provide an opportunity for you to forge connections, think boldly and leave recharged for the work ahead.

I hope to see you there!
Kathleen

P.S. Use your vacation time!
