About the Job
The NH Food Bank in Manchester NH is currently seeking a full-time SNAP Outreach and Application Coordinator to join our team. The SNAP Outreach and Application Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the implementation of the SNAP Outreach Plan for the state of New Hampshire to increase access of the federal food assistance program, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), to eligible NH residents. They are also responsible for assisting potential SNAP applicants with the online NHEASY application, maintaining applicant data and developing monthly or quarterly reports as requested, collaborating with other team members and subcontractors, distributing outreach materials and reinforcements to marketing partners and NH Food Bank (NHFB) agency partners.

Duties:
- Work collaboratively with NHFB staff, Culinary and Nutrition Director, Nutrition Programs Manager, Development, and Agency Relations staff to implement the statewide SNAP outreach plan
- Work with the NHFB Development team to develop outreach and marketing material, both physical and virtual, that can be made available for use by other programs, partners, and community organizations for dissemination through the year
- Collaborate with New Hampshire DHHS SNAP Program to identify populations and geographic areas in most need of outreach; working low income or poor individuals and families, single women, head of household, with children, seniors, college students, new Americans, racially diverse groups, immigrants, veterans, elders, and other populations as identified.
- Provide information about and access to SNAP enrollment to NH residents and communities by providing outreach regarding SNAP benefits
- Explain eligibility requirements for SNAP, Explain the application process and assist with enrollment
- Attend statewide planning, coalition calls, or specific meetings that information can be shared to organizations or professionals that will expand the awareness
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED and two years of work experience. College degree and experience in community food and/or nutrition, public health initiatives, food systems/access preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Experience with one on one client support preferred
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of computers and MS Office including Access, Excel, Word and Outlook
