About the Job

Description

Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of behavioral health services in New Hampshire, is seeking a per diem Residential Counselor to work in our residential programs as a support person and counselor. 

As a Residential Counselor, you’ll be responsible for providing services and support to individuals living with mental illness, assisting them in their recovery, and helping them attain the goals they have set for themselves. If you are flexible and possess excellent administrative and counseling skills, this could be a great opportunity!

Responsibilities

  • Encourage and support residents with routine residential functions such as preparing meals and housekeeping
  • Assist in managing activities and services for residents
  • Encourage and support residents in reaching their goals
  • Ensure the safety of residents and other staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, rehabilitation, education, or human services is required.
  • One year of related work experience preferred
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, and some holidays required
  • A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle with auto insurance is required.
