About the Job
The Parent Engagement Coordinator at NH Teen Institute is responsible for working closely with the Executive Director, Program Director, and volunteer staff to facilitate education & development experiences for parents of middle & high school students, as well as those in caregiving roles. Much of this role's planning time take place remotely, with workshops delivered around the state (mileage reimbursement provided). All full-time TI staff are expected to be in the Manchester office for a weekly staff meeting and co-working day most weeks. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Facilitate evidence-based parenting curricula, including Keep Connected and Staying Connected with Your Teen, throughout NH and online
- Oversee management and reporting requirements of state and/or local contracts for parenting programming
- Collect data and engage in program evaluation as part of program fidelity efforts, outcome tracking, reporting requirements of state and/or foundation contracts for parenting programming
- Network and build relationships with middle and high schools, parent groups, the state’s 13 Regional Public Health Networks, and other prevention professionals
- Commit to continuous professional development through continuing education efforts, CPS credentialing, and training opportunities
- Assist in outreach and marketing efforts including updating and maintaining social media accounts
- Work with youth & adult volunteers to co-facilitate parenting programming when applicable
- Oversee brochures, posters, flyers and other promotional materials for programs, experience using Canva a plus
- Provide program support for TI’s larger youth programs as needed & available
- Work with the TI Grant Writer to explore more avenues for parenting programming growth & expansion
- Ensure TI’s name is “out there” and well-regarded
- Report to the Executive Director and contribute updates for Board reports when needed
Qualifications:
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Certified Prevention Specialist, or willing to become certified
- Trained to deliver the curricula Keep Connected and/or Staying Connected with Your Teen, or willing to become trained
- Experience in training, teaching, and/or group facilitation
- Knowledge of Zoom & virtual platforms for engaging virtual presentations
- Utilize Constant Contact for communication
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Interested in empowering youth as leaders in their families & communities, and providing meaningful opportunities for youth engagement in program updates and facilitation
- A team player who is flexible and proactive
- Valid driver’s license, reliable means of transportation
- Available for frequent day and evening travel, occasional overnight travel and weekend events
- Criminal background check required
- Bilingual in Spanish or French a plus
