About the Job
Community Bridges is looking for a full-time Infant Mental Health Specialist in Concord, NH!
We are a non-profit agency founded in 1982 with a mission to advance the integration, growth, and interdependence of people with developmental disabilities within their own communities. Building on the strengths of over 1,100 individuals in the greater Capital Area and their families, we work to identify barriers of access to find creative solutions to develop meaningful community engagement.
The Infant Mental Health Specialist provides developmental support services, family therapy, service coordination, and parent education to families with children ages birth to three. Participates in transdisciplinary assessments and the writing of assessment reports, providing expertise in the areas of family systems, psycho-social issues, adult and child psychology, behavior, and social/emotional development. Participates in the development of treatment plans as well as provides consultation to other staff and other agencies with whom we collaborate.
Qualifications:
Education: Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, Family Therapy or related field; LICSW, LCMHC, or LMFT preferred.
Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience in the mental health field required; home based experience and experience participating on transdisciplinary team preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
There is a $1000 sign-on bonus for this position - $500 will be paid at the time of hire and $500 will be paid after 6 months in the role. *Please note, sign-on bonuses are for new hires only. Re-hires and transfers are not eligible at this time.
Paid Time Off: For a full-time employee working 40 hours a week, 264.16 hours of Paid Time Off is received per year! PTO days will increase over the years based on longevity and there is no waiting period to start using your PTO!

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves families regardless of; disability race, religion, sex, ethnicity, illness, sociological or financial circumstances.
- Provides services in home/community environments for eligible children.
- Participates in transdisciplinary assessments and writes multiple areas of assessment reports.
- Complies with State and Agency policies regarding confidentiality.
- Provides transdisciplinary services, therapeutic and behavioral support.
- Attends and participates in group and individual supervision, administrative meetings, in services and other training events.
- Assists family members with management issues and coordination with other community agencies.
- Provides guidance, support, and information to families and helps to coordinate with community agencies.
- Maintains records and documents services as required.
- Maintains daily schedule according to assigned caseload.
- Provides parents with support, information, assistance and advocacy throughout services and transition process.
- Keeps abreast of new developments in the field and attends relevant continuing education events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Maintains training in and uses Universal Health Precautions to protect self, staff, child, and family health.
- Represents Community Bridges services to the community and maintains a positive image in the community at large.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal skills.
- Reports and documents all cases of suspected abuse and neglect to supervisor and to the State of New Hampshire in accordance with state law and agency policy.
- Must have knowledge and comfort with providing home based services within a transdisciplinary model.
- Has strong knowledge base in typical and atypical infant and toddler development.
- Maintains up to date knowledge concerning Part C philosophy and regulations.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Work Environment- works flexible hours to meet family’s needs throughout service area and requires flexibility, independence and the ability to function effectively in occasionally hectic environments or situations requiring clarification.
- Physical Demands— standing, walking, sitting, and lifting is required. Must be able to move lift up to 40 pounds.
Travel:
Travels up to 75% of the day to travel to offices and individual’s residences. Must have access to personal vehicle during all scheduled work hours, maintain valid driver’s license and appropriate insurance, and uphold an acceptable driving record.
