About the Job
Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based behavioral health services in New Hampshire, is seeking a full-time Director to provide leadership, program management, and supervision to ensure the safe and efficient daily operation of our Residential Programs.
Riverbend has three Residential Programs, with two located in Concord, and one located just north of the city, in Boscawen. Each residence is home to between nine and nineteen individuals, providing varying levels of care for adult clients living with mental illness. Staff in the Residential Programs work to support these individuals in attaining goals they have set for themselves. The office for the Director position is based in one of our Concord residences and reports to the Vice President of Clinical Operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of Riverbend’s Residential programming including provision of housing and services based in the three Riverbend residences.
- Provide leadership in program planning, program operations, and staff recruitment, retention, and professional development.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationship with other area agencies, and partner with community stakeholders to ensure cohesive collaboration and understanding of available services.
- Monitor clinical records to ensure timely documentation of services and adherence to all applicable State, Federal and payer regulations or standards.
- Manage Residential referral list and client admission into the houses
- Oversee ongoing licensing needs pertaining to Riverbend’s residential facilities.
- Establish and monitor program budgets and manage resources accordingly
- Work closely with other Program Directors in the agency to promote client access between programs and effective communication.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mental health service provision.
- Experience providing mental health services in a residential setting preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance or access to a reasonable alternative is required.
