CATCH Receives $25,000 Grant from Tufts Health Plan Foundation

CATCH Neighborhood Housing has been awarded a $25,000 grant from the Tufts Health Plan Foundation. The grant is part of $1 million in funding the Tufts Health Plan Foundation is donating to area non-profits that are focused on health equity and the social determinants of health in honor of Tufts Health Plan’s 40th anniversary and its longstanding tradition of giving back to the community.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will award $137,250 to Greater Seacoast Community Health, a network of community health centers that includes Families First Health & Support Center in Portsmouth, Goodwin Community Health in Somersworth, and Lilac City Pediatrics in Rochester.

Abenaqui Golfers Give Record-Setting Donation

When the Women’s Golf League at Abenaqui Country Club began donating a portion of proceeds from their annual Pink Day Tournament to help Families First Health and Support Center in 2011, the donation came to $1,800. This summer, the Pink Day group donated more than six times that amount – $10,960 – bringing the league’s total donations over eight years to $45,000.

St. Mary’s Bank Supports Boys & Girls Club of Manchester Renovation

The Boys & Girls Club of Manchester recently announced the public phase of their capital campaign, More Kids, Brighter Futures aimed at renovating facilities and creating new space to help more youth. St. Mary’s Bank was among the first to kick-start the campaign with a $30,000 donation.

Foundation awards $600,000 in spring grant round

The New Hampshire Children’s Health Foundation recently awarded grants to eight projects designed to improve children’s health. Recipients include Catholic Charities/NH Food Bank, Fair Food Network, Gather, Grow Nashua, UNH Sustainability Network, North Country Health Consortium and UNH Institute for Health Policy and Practice.

Fellowship Housing Opportunities Grant for Licensed Community Residence Vehicle
